Silvina Hecker is a mixed media artist interested in awakening the curiosity of forgotten human relationships, places, and objects.  Her ongoing project consists of placing small works of art across the city of Houston, taking a photograph of them, and leaving them behind. Hecker is currently participating in her second year of the Block Program at the Glassell School of Arts at The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston where she recently completed her certificate in painting. She has studied with many artists and craft practitioners in the US, Argentina, and the Caribbean. She has shown her work in national and international juried exhibitions and has her work in private collections. She holds a BA (Business) from the Catholic University of Buenos Aires, Argentina.Born in Argentina, Hecker lived in the Caribbean for many years before relocating to Houston in 2009.
